1. Warranty Period
Main Camera Unit: 12 months (1 year) from the date of original purchase.
Accessories: 30 days (Includes lens, cables, remote controller and external casings).
Built-in Battery (if applicable): 6 months limited warranty.
2. What is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. During the warranty period, MateCam will, at its option, repair or replace the product at no charge if:
The image sensor fails (dead pixels or color distortion not caused by physical impact).
The mainboard malfunctions (unable to power on or recognize SD cards).
The WiFi module or cooling system fails under standard operating conditions.
3. What is NOT Covered (Exclusions)
The warranty is void under the following circumstances, which are common in DIY and drone applications:

Overvoltage Damage: Damage caused by connecting the camera to an incorrect power source (e.g., connecting a 5V module directly to a 4S/6S LiPo battery).

Physical Impact: Cracks, broken lenses, or torn ribbon cables resulting from crashes (FPV drones), drops, or misuse.

Unauthorized Modification: Damage resulting from self-soldering, firmware hacking (third-party firmware), or disassembling the core module.

Water Damage: Corrosion or short-circuiting caused by exposure to moisture, rain, or liquids.

Reverse Polarity: Damage caused by reversing the positive and negative power leads.
4. Return & Repair Process (RMA)
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
Technical Support: Contact support@matecamera.com with your Order ID and a Short Video demonstrating the fault.
RMA Authorization: Once the defect is confirmed, you will receive an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and shipping instructions.
Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for shipping costs to our service center. MateCam will cover for repaired/replaced items under valid warranty.
The customer needs to bear the shipping cost for returning the item, and after the repair is completed, MateCam will bear the cost of sending it out again.
